Replaced the pickups on my 1966 Epiphone SG re-issue with this bridge pickup, and a 496r at the neck. What was a nice playing although muddy sounding axe has been reborn into a searing hot, razor sharp weapon. Clearity like you wouldn't believe and the ability to cut through like a white hot scalpel. Probably not what you'd want if youre into Paul Simon or James Taylor, but what the hell, Im just old, not dead! Just a note - the stock pickup covers didnt fit so their bare-ass nekid, and I had to get on to the Gibson site for wiring help.

This is the bridge pickup in my les paul classic (accompanied by a 496R) and it is absolutely incredible. I love the stripped down screaming sound. it is also suprisingly versatile.

The 500T came paired with a 496R in my Les Paul Classic and my Flying V. I was totally blown away! I purchased another 500T and 496R and put them in an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus with 4 "push-pull" pots. The tone combinations are almost illegal! These work great in the studio and live for all music styles. They are worth every penny.

This pickup is great! I got it on my sg-x (because it's factory standard) but it screams louder than i thought it would. I would definitely recommend this for replacing a pickup in any guitar if you like rock.
