The BurstBucker Pro enhances the vintage "edge" of Gibson's popular BurstBucker guitar pickups with the added feature of an Alnico 5 magnet. The Gibson BurstBucker Pro Humbucker Pickup has a characteristic sweet harmonic complexity and crystalline clarity that derive from its slightly unmatched bobbin windings. Alnico V magnets are used in place of the traditional Alnico IIs, yielding fatter, meatier tone with more drive and attack. The Burstbucker Pro Pickup provides classic Gibson "Patent Applied For" tone with a hint of attitude. Extra noise reduction keeps things quiet even with a high-gain rig.

Gibson BurstBucker Pro Pickup Features:

  • Unmatched bobbin windings
  • Alnico V windings
  • Feedback and noise resistant

I own an Epi SG and had the pickups replaced with the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded set, only to find out that the black did not look right. Sounded good, but It took away from the look of the guitar and Im very picky. So I decided to put the old neck pickup back on and got this burstbucker for the bridge. WOW. compared to the SD set, the output on this puppy is better. It just has a tighter sound(great for metal)with great bite. I really don't know how to describe it other than its ten times better than the SD set, and a hundred times better than the stock Epi. It is a lot, yes, but in my opinion, its worth it. And you're keepin' it Gibson!

I have a set of these installed in a korina Explorer. They are VERY versitile. I play in a black metal, death metal, and thrash metal bands, and they have just the right sound for all of them.I was thinking of putting in some EMG's or Seymour Duncans, but NOOOO keep the burstbuckers.you won't regret it.

I own a '90 Gibson les paul studio...I bought it off a friend and i'm not fairly certain i know what exactally was in it. A good friend of mine bought a Les Paul that came stock the the Pro's and for some reason he didnt like them...Having heard them before i asked him how much he wanted for it. I bought the set for $50 dollars. Yes thats right...$50. A recent purchase of a Fender HRD makes them sound better than i ever imagined this guitar to sound when i bought it over 7 yrs ago. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I recently replaced the bridge position pickup of my SG with this pickup expecting more clarity...well I got it! Not only did I get more clarity but I got a warm and smooth distortion when cranked up! It was perfect. The neck pickup is still stock and could use a replacement...but until then it sounds fine. I really like this pickup for the clarity, as I said, but I also like it because the tone is more "full". Full is good. Full is very good. Full is even better when you have an amazing amp to back it. I also recently bought a Fender HRD and the Burst Bucker sound even better! The tone is really awesome for a bluesy sound or even crunch if it suites you...all depends on your taste. I would DEFINITELY recommend it to anyone!
