When I have a gibson Les Paul Studio, and it came in the hardshell case. The case is a little heavy, and the combination lock can be annoying to open, but the case provides excellent protection for the guitar, and isn't to massive.

I got my Gibson Les Paul Hardshell Case and was blown away by its quality, it fits my Les Paul like a glove! I have no misgivings about ordering it, and don't worry about the safety of my guitar while it's in this case. My only problem is that I've got a big, fat leather strap that won't fit in the case with the guitar. But other than that, this case is an excellent investment to keep your guitar looking good!

While I will make it work, I was disappointed in the differences in the case grip (plastic covered suitcase style instead of leather) and the lack of combination locking latch....both shown in the photos. For the price paid and the Gibson name, I feel a bit let down.

I accidentally left my Les Paul behind my grandma's car the other day, and she ran over it. Luckily it was in the case. Once I saw it on the ground, the head completely demolished, I made myself open the latches. And sure enough, my guitar was fine!!! I need a new case now, but my guitar looks and plays exactly the same!! Thanks Gibson for making an AWESOME case!!! I highly recommend it.

The Les Paul hardshell "Canada Case", as it is called by collectors of Gibson Guitars, has the same construction and quality as the original cases supplied with Gibsons that I have owned since playing for 50 years. I prefer the new white lining over the old "pink", especially in combination with a Wine Red Les Paul. Open the case at a job,and it never fails to impress.
