I got this case like 2 months ago when I got me a SR505. First thing I noticed was that it really has no room for anything other then the bass itself. Also, no compartments so if you play with a pick then expect the pick to be somewhere, possible everywhere or anywhere in the case when you open it up. You really cant fit a strap in it to comfortably. Within a week I noticed a small little hole from where the plastic was "supposed" to be attached to the metal lining. Now its a pretty big hole where their is a gap in the case. Also, for some reason I am noticing when I try to close it the case does not line up right. I have to pull it and also slam it down to lock it.

After about 6 months of playing almost every weekend and chucking the case in with the other equipment, I started noticing the case listing to the side when I set it down. One of the feet had broken through the case inward causing it to lean over. Now after several years the other 3 have poked through as well, and now it sits straight again with a tendency to fall over if you breath on it. Otherwise an OK case if you don't abuse it to much.

I got this case recently for my SR755. This is a very sturdy piece of work (slightly overpriced, but worth it). The case seals very well, leaving no gaps. The lining is quite soft and pampering for the bass. It is formed to the Soundgear's unique shape, no matter what kind of Soundgear you may have, even for the 5 or 6 string ones. There is not much room for storage. What I mean is,there are 3 small open areas around the bass. I managed to fit a 9 volt battery and picks in one, a 2 inch wide guitar strap in another, and a tightly coiled 12 ft cable in the last area. (yes, plan to pack lightly, but hey, I carry separate case for all my other stuff anyways). Overall, excellent quality. Price is slightly high, and there is little storage, but you get a well-protected bass in return.

I have an Ibanez SRX model and needed a case. I was very nervous with all the negative comments this case has provided. What I got, though, was a pretty nice case. There is enough room for a few things, the lining is pretty nice, and the thing seems solid enough. I think it's kinda pricey and so can't give it a 5/5. But if you're worried about people saying "a crappy gig bag would be better than this", don't worry, it's a decent case.

My MB100C has tiny storage areas, the valance doesn't seal properly, the lining is of microscopic thickness & I have to press down hard on the lid to get the latches to engage. When I finally get it latched I still see lining through gaps in the aluminum valance meaning the case isn't sealed. This is the worst case I ever had. Buy ANY generic case, even a cheap gig bag is better because at least a gig bag will keep dust out while my Ibanez MB100C won't. JUNK!
