It's held like a guitar pick, but that's where the similarities end. Produces 3 trademark sounds on a 6-string. Chorus! generates a 12-string-like effect. Pluck! is like a hammered dulcimer. Bow! sounds like a cello. Combine it with other effects or a slide for a huge range of sonic possibilities.

Very bad quality

I bought one out of curiosity. At first I thought it was a good pick, but after playing for a while I found out otherwise. It started to unravel and bend so I would have to cut the strings off. I do not recommend buying this pick.

If you plan to get one of these, get 2 so after you break the first one you can be more careful with the senond one. These are not meant to be played rough. It was just wierd using this because the strumming is so much different. and the tines, all they are are a bunch of little electric "D" strings. If you play just a little rough a tine will bend then you will have to take it off. I would highly recommend against it. If you want a better tone, get a new guitar.

My friend got this for me for Christmas, and truthfully I didn't expect a lot out of it. I played it with an old crappy Fender acoustic I had laying around and I was amazed. It sounds soooo much different. I can't really vouch for use with electric, but I'll never play acoustic without it again.

Gonna start with the only bad thing first. One of the tines had a slight burr that I needed to remove. I managed to do this with a fingernail though so not a big deal. Other than that it does just waht it says. The chorus sound they claim it does is awesome. The pluck essentially makes it sound like a regular pick so is not a complete new sound but good for playing "normal" without changing picks. The bow is tough to get the hang of but worth it. The better your equipment the more of a difference too, especially for electric. Also, if you go to the site there is an offer to get free bridge pins if you buy one. The bridge pins are also great.

Alright, here is the definitive review on this product: The 'JelliFish' Pick. Yes, it's over-priced. Yes, it's hard to get three different sounds from it. But the one sound it does give easily on six-string guitars (and acoustic guitars do react better to it) is worth the purchase, I think. If you hold the pick lightly and strum at an angle you will get a beautiful, full sounding, 12-string effect that can be soft or heavy (soft is best). And for the money, that is fine with me. Even if I only use it on one or two songs, it makes my repertoire more professional sounding, and the audience loves it. And that is WELL WORTH it!
