I put one of these in my old Peavey Rage Transtube and I have been very favorably impressed. It's pretty much what you expect when you put a premium speaker in an average amp; more clarity, smoother highs, warmer overdrive. I was surprised how good this little amp sounded when I got it, but this speaker has definitely put it over the top. I plan to use this amp for small gigs now. It sounds like a real amp, not just the knock-around I bought it for. I used to call this amp "Plain Jane;" now she's just "Jane." :)

These speakers are a great value. I installed them in an open back cab that I made,a scaled down bass man. The speakers react well with digital effects and are full with out being loud.

I bought two of these to use with an Epiphone Valve Junior. They were easy to work with, They nounted easily and had two solder tabs that were labeled plus and minus to help with phasing. My project worked out well and the Epiphone Valve Junior sounded good with my home made cabinet. This time I used two, but at this price I could have used many more and created a cabinet that would have handled more power. I wired them in series and pluged them into the 8 ohm output of the amp. The harmonics were ok and I am satisfied with the results of my project. I can't speak to the applicability for direct replacement of other kinds of speakers since I built something new with them. I you want to build a cabinet for use with the Epiphobe Valve Junior, these arw a good match as they can handle the power of the unit. At least in my configuration using two in series. They don't weigh much so my project was easy to pick up and carry. That is important for me given my physical limitations.

I installed one of these in my behringer ac108 amp to replace the stock speaker. There was a huge improvement. With a groove tubes 12ax7 this amp turned from an acceptable beginners amp into a very good blues amp. Distortion is now a decent sound to listen to coming out of this amp. Turned it into a whole new beast.

For the $ this is a very good replacement for beginner amps with potential.

Remember that these are low wattage.

Bought 4 of these for my home made cab and they sound bigger and more expensive than they are. But there is a secret to it. Put them in an OVER-SIZED tightly SEALED cab, and DON'T use MDF/particle board. Use 3/4 Cabinet grade plywood or louan. You get some neat resonance qualities that are lost with mdf,and because it's sealed deeper/punchier bass. My box measures about 24x24x12, more than sufficient.
