Works great for a scooting bass

Years ago I started using a rug scap with a board bolted onto the end that ran the length from seat to bass to keep the bass from sliding away from me. Then I bought one of these and it works great. True, the hi-hat still slides away, but I really didn't expect it to stop that from happening. This piece works great for what I use it for and I own two of them.

I'm a rock drummer, been on tour and initially this was fine but only after the major creases were ironed out of it. It does not lay flat so you may want to tape the corners to mark your set. Over time, it has really worn down, the material is not as durable as I would like, the bass drum is permanently shifted to the right, it needs replacing sooner than the last one I had.

I have used the Crash Pad by Kaces for about a 2 years, and I loved it at first. Its good for traveling light, saving space, and for keeping the kick drum from sliding. The thing is, my hihat stand slides away in about 2 songs, pushing my crash and high tom away from me. The rubber along the sides that supposedly keeps it from slipping really doesn't work because of all the creases it gets. This rug is good for a little while, but in the long run, its really not that worth it.

Before I got this drum rug my floor bass was all over the place tried all types of rugs to try to stop my floor bass from sliding nothing worked, till I got my Kaces KCP-5 pad,let me tell ya it's the best! Highly recommended. Thanks for a great product.

I have an older Rogers set with the original bass drum spurs. This is the only rug/set-up I have used where I have no worries about the bass drum moving away from me, especially when using a DW pedal with velcro under the footboard. Light; easy to use; good carrying case. Highly recommended.
