It's an expensive tuner

Yes, it's an expensive tuner, and that's all it is, is a tuner. But without a doubt if this broke, or was stolen i would replace it in a heartbeat, and pay the same price because of how: 1) Accurate it is. (DEAD ON! this thing picks up things Pro's ears don't)
2) Easy to use it is (I mean really, you turn it on and tune up)

Yes, it pricy and unnecessary, but it looks great, you can see it from accross the room, and it's accurate. If you're willing to pay the price for a tuner - go for it. I would replace this unit in a heartbeat if it were stolen or damaged. Sometimes you just have to have the lights!!!! A 25.00 tuner will do the trick - but it won't look nearly as cool!

If you paid the list retail price ie what the music store asks for it you have spent a lot of money. I hope you all do realize that this beautiful tuner is no more accurate than a 25 dollar tuner +/- 1 cent has been the standard for 35 years. As far as features are wonderful but accuracy is no better than cheap tuners. If you want accuracy of the caliber as real strobe tuner try the peterson virtual strobe line they have 4 different types of tuners they have a stomp tuner for floor use then the strobo flip, then the rack tuner and then the computer version that now has a newer version to be out inn july that will work as a vst plugin and you can have as many instances as you want you can even tune vocals with it if you use it as a reference tool not as a fix it tool but you can use it to check and see how far a vocal is off and how much. They are accurate within 1/1000 of a semitone or 1/10 of a cent which is much more accurate than most tuners. It also has sweetened tuners for just about all instruments including electric guitars, 12 string and even steel guitars. Have you ever tuned your electric guitar only to find that different chords are out of tune well then you need the sweetened tuners offered by peterson. You will never use another tuner after trying one of theirs.

Excellent Tuner

This is my first "high end" tuner; I have been doing more home recording lately and need more accurate tuning than I was getting with cheaper tuners. The Korg has great features. I especially appreciate the bright white indicator when you are dead on. While this tuner does have a built in mic and it does work, I paid a few bucks for the optional clip on mic for acoustic instruments. This made a huge difference in tuning a classical guitar as the nylon strings don't ring like steel strings on a folk guitar. Yes - this is a bit expensive for a tuner, but it is worth it. My only concern is if you use the 2000 outside of a rack it is light (and not very deep) so will slide around a bit.

After seeing the capabilities and different functions, I am very pleased with my purchase. Yes it costs more but I GOT more. Easily read from across the room, tuning modes and built in mic make this the one that suits my needs. The strobe display is awesome for intonation adjustments , as differences are easily displayed. So put a pry bar in your wallet and purchase this one.
