Great little metronome for the money, does everything they say and wont break the bank. Fits easily just about anywhere, highly recommended. Good looks to boot.

Korg MA-30 Digital Metronome

What can I say? It does what a metronome does. It even has a built in tuner of sorts. Plus theres a handy reference sheet engraved in the back. This metronome is indestructible. I'm constantly dropping it and I've even left it in my pocket and washed it and it still works fine. An hour of tumbling in a metal dryer only broke a small piece of plastic off! My only criticism of this little machine is that its tempo only goes up to 208.

I recently purchased the Korg MA-30 metronome and it does not tell you what number you would use for the different speeds of playing, such as allegro, moderate, etc. Unless the music has the number on it I am lost. I wish there was a chart included with this product. It would be much easier for the beginner user.

This is every drummers friend. I call it the 'BOSS" because it has the final say in any group of egotistical musicians, it settles the ever debated timing factor.
As a drummer, I took a cheap steel ruler, cut it down, used the existing hole that's in most of them and attach it to my snare using just a single lug screw. I added a little self-adhering velcro and stick the little MA-30 right next to where I work, between the hats and my snare.
If I need to switch snares, it's just one lug screw change on each drum and I'm ready to go.
Once you get the guitar gods to agree on the bps for the set list during practice, that's it... no more arguments.
It seems everyone thinks they know what the right beat should be, and guitar players seem to be the ones that are in fantasy land most often. But once they agree to a bps, they're finally brought under control.
They walk back to peek at the 'BOSS' during the instrumental bridges, shake their head, and go back to take care of business with no more trouble.
This is an investment that no drummer should be without... it makes your chosen profession fun again. You can buy all kinds of more expensive equipment, but nothing does the most basic function like the little MA-30.
It's tough, it's cheap, it has a pendulum that allows you plenty of room and time to adjust during the song... it calibrates, it has multiple rhythm set-ups, it's great.
