The radical Lace Alumitone guitar pickups have less resistance and high output with clear, big frequency response in a completely noise-free passive design. Constructed with aluminum rather than copper, they have a current driven design as opposed to conventional voltage-based pickups.

The aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is matted with a micro-winding using 90% less copper wire than traditional designs for an extremely lightweight and efficient pickup. Sonically, this gives these guitar pickups more volume, more bass, and more mids with nice, clear, smooth high frequency response that cuts.

WOW, do the Alumitones kick ass!

I just installed this loaded pickguard into a USA Stratocaster with a maple fretboard and the sound is HUGE and FAT and WARM. I was going for a rock sound in the Fender package and came up with something similar to the EMG 81/85's I have in other guitars, AND they clean up beautifully. Not to mention the gold alumitones with gold hardware on a black Strat is just gorgeous.

These are worth every penny and more...

In all fairness had to rate this thing a five across the board because the pick up is what it's purported to be. Having said that, if your playing style varies from totally clean to down and dirty buy yourself a set of Alumitones and a crunch box to go along with them.

I bought this after deciding to take the cheaper road and just fix up my old srat look-alike, and I am VERY glad I did! These pickups are fantastic! Great sound, no buzz, VERY easy to install, with incredible looks!! With the money I saved I was able to buy some pedals too!!
