Red is good

The red one is absolutely amazing, it projects like crazy and can cut through anything. Blue one is lacking though. It's not much louder than a stick click, and I think it is almost too high pitched. Definitely go with the red one.

I just bought this block and is the best of all other jam blocks. It's got the cutting edge to cut through any mix of music. I highly recommend this to any drummer.

This block cuts through the mix and has a really great sound, but the eyebolt assembly won't stay tightened. Give it a few hits, and it's swinging around the rack. This makes it totally unusable for live situations. LP needs to work on their mounts.

this little block is nice for fills in music for stuff, and its a lifesaver for your rims when you play on the block instead of the rims. its a little pricey, but if you save up you know it would be worth it. i own the high pitch (blue) one, and i have owned it for a while, and its still in great condition! way to go latin percussion!

I love this block. i've had it for over a year and not a scratch on it! I really love that it saves ur sticks and rims from doing rim knocks because it's great in low volume circumstances. A very great block and matches my ruby fad drum set, (i got the red obvioulsy) very very good.
