I have used this now for about 30 gigs. The cable is of good quality and the connectors at the mixing console/fan end are of very good quality make. Solder connections are also well done.

The XLR connectors at the stage end (female) are ok. The connectors are made of plastic that has, so far, held up, but the release mechanism is very cheap. I have two that broke within the first month of use and I am unable to remove the mic cables from those two positions. Since then, I have been very careful plugging in and removing cables and not had anymore break (babying the unit has worked). To remove the cables, I will have to replace the 2 female connectors completely.

I recently replaced the four TRS plugs at the fan end with female XLRs to mate with my recently purchased mixer. It has worked out rather well. The very good quality of the heat shrink used for each individual line made the replacement very easy and effective.

Overall, it has done the job I bought it for and has never failed. Features and quality for the price (value) is very good. It is basic snake that performs the basic functions well.

If you’re still trying to mix from the stage, give it up! Purchase this snake now, get a sound man, and take your show to next level.

I just bought this about a month ago, and when i got it, i was kinda worried about the casing as it seemed a little thin. But since then, a roadie of ours accidently kicked it off an 8 foot stage onto concrete and it only has a minor scratch! I think the concrete got the worst end of the deal...
