I have a couple of these, along with many other more expensive xlr cables. Honestly they have held up just as well as the others, and I plan to buy more in the future. I compared the soldering job to the more expensive LiveWire XLR cables, and the quality was very similar.

Live wire usually make a good cable for guitar. I admit I've never used a live wire mic cable. It sounds ok and is a beefy thick wire but looks like cheap chinese crap. No where does it say Live Wire on it. It looks like a generic substitute and I was too lazy to send it back. We'll see maybe it'll hold up but I'm doubtful by the look of it.
