I was in need of this stuff, so I thought ah what the hell, what do I have to loose? I'll tell you what, "this stuff works great!" I applied it on with a nice clean cloth and my neck never felt so comfy and clean "very nice" anyway, I'm sure it will work fine with just about any axe, unless your neck is shot. This goes on real easy, I had best results with a second application, the guitar I used it on is also sixteen years old so two or three applications on an older axe might be necessary. What I really like about it is there is no build up on the neck ever it's perfect! I mean for a few bucks why not, heck it costs more to have the neck refinished. Bottom line do yourself and your axe a favor and get some.

Does a really great job conditioning fretboard wood and keeping strings clean. Could use a better applicator.

It does a great job of cleaning the fretboard wood and frets as well as cleaning strings - it does not however lubricate the fretboard at all - it is a cleaner/conditioner only. The only other downside is that it contains petrolium distillates. Overall, not a bad product.
