I have had 3 of these stands for over 20 years and they have been gigged with thousands of times never a problem. 1 of them is bent up a little and some scratching (nothing a little paint wouldn't fix)but they just keep going I highly recomend these stands they are cheap for what you get just go a head and get the best .I do wish the legs folded it is a fixed stand with 3 legs.all and all well worth the money and I expect to have them for the rest of my career .

I've had this music stand for about a year now and it still doesn't slip at all. I put several books and folders on it at once and it holds them all easily. This stand will do exactly what you want it to and that is to hold whatever you can fit on it and not slip or bend at all. A little pricey, but a great stand.

I ordered one that I use at the Church, then get by at home with all the other lesser stands hanging out in our sound studio. I became tired of trying to hold the flimsy stand still that I park my recorder on so I ordered this stand that is dedicated to holding my recorder. Problem solved. I really like the one I have at Church because by the time I get all the books, sheets and programs loaded on the stand it looks more like a pick up truck. It does extremely well.

My high school band uses these and they work really good until they start slipping up and down. After high schoolers get to these they dont last long. We use duck tape and old reeds to jam inbetween the two rods that make the thing slide up and down. Good for fairly light use, but these things really do take a beating.
