Great all-around product. This straight stand even arrived in its own box with a handle on it! I have a Mapex boom stand and was pretty impressed so i purchased this stand on a stupid deal day for $29 and was not disappointed. It has a great finish on it and is very adjustable head to toe. The only down side is that at the higher joints, the stabilizer rings (not the main crank ones but the small ones you turn with a drum key) seem a either a bit stripped or just not engineered perfectly - hence a 3.5 rating for that. The main joint tighteners are fine though. I have used this to hold cymbals and then 2 standard high toms with a gibraltar platform and it was sturdy as heck. You will love the OS cymbal accentuator "felts". They are rubber and really let your cymbal crash freely and just be a cymbal doing its job! The height is great at its shortest and tallest. Looks like it will last me for years
