i've used the phosphor bronze and these. and i'd definetly say that the sound and everything about these strings is much better. definetly a good buy. i use them on my ibanez acoustic/electric and they sound amazing. :)

I have used these strings on a vintage D-28 for years now. Occasionally, I'll try something different, but I always come back home to Martin light gauge 80/20 bronze. I'm a thumb-style player, and these strings give the perfect blend of clear highs and solid bass. Yes, Elixirs last longer, but you can't beat the value of these strings.

These are really nice strings. With my Washburn EA20SDL Elixirs sound just as good as the Martins, except Elixirs last longer.

Nothing sounds as good on my Martin DM as, well, Martin strings. I actually like the 80/20 better than the phosphor bronze.
