Martin SP PBs are as good as it gets for Martin Dreads. If you're a serious player you already know that here are perhaps 3 or 4 serious string manufacturers. These strings are among the best produced by those Mfgs.

Good strings for the price but for a beginner like me they can be rough on the fingers. I have them on my guitar now but a friend plays elixir and I think I will be switching based on sound.

I had always been a huge fan of Martin Strings. They always have a crisp tone, last long, and have a few to none string breakage. These babies hold no exception. The only thing that I do warn, is that if you're a beginner, and have been using light gauge strings for a long time. I highly recommend that you do not get these strings. I love these strings, but my brother, who is a beginner,say that his fingers hurt when he tries to play them. Just a word of caution. JUST BUY THEM ALREADY!!!!

Overall good strings. For the price you can't bat them. I do wish the tone lasted longer, but what do expect for the price. I love the tone it does put out. I use them on my '86 Alvarez Acoustic. I used these stings on my bands new album sold on cdbaby. The band is called LOCAL SLUR. Check out the way these strings sound recorded. Buy these strings!
