Save your money to buy a welder!!!

I made the mistake of purchasing one of these stands. The picture makes it look real good but the quality is extremely poor! I put it together and it seemed rather shaky, but I installed my expensive mixer in it anyhow. Within 5 minutes, my mixer fell to the floor because the cheesy welds let loose! The mounting holes do not line up very well and the recommended hardware is definitely over-priced. You pay almost as much for the hardware as you do the rack. If you decide to spend your hard-earned money for this, go to your local hardware store and purchase some sheet metal screws or bolts to reinforce the rack rails! And why didn't they just use standard rack screws instead of those goofy over-priced clips? The good news is my mixer still functions (for now), the bad news is I'm afraid to use this rack for fear it will collapse again! It's currently a dust collector.....

Doesn't Make Sense...

The mounting holes are not spaced in the standard distance that the 1/3 of the holes won't align. The left and right rails are not parallel so the mixer seems to be on crooked (IF you manage to get the mixer installed). The recommended hardware is waaay over priced. I will end up going to a hardware store and buy my own bolts and nuts then drill holes in the rails just to fit my gear... Good concept, but awful design. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Not the best

Half the holes on my mixers rack won't line up because this rack does not use standard rack rail spacing for the holes. My mixer mounts perfectly in every other rack I own or have owned. Wheels are poorly mounted and came bent, the required mounting kit is a very poor value (mounts only 3 pieces of gear).

I have two of these, the first does not need the extra rack pak, I like it best. The main problem is the wheels attaching to the base. If you want the unit to last, put wide washers between the wheel and base of unit. This solves the weak wheel problem. I use this at school and is moved around alot. It does a great job with the modification.

The stand came with no instructions for assembly, no big deal. After I assembled it, I went to stand it up and ALL the welds that hold the threaded crossmembers together broke right off. I solved this problem by cutting hardwood slats to fit inside the crossmembers and using long sheetrock screws to hold it all together. It's sturdy as a rock now.
