Extremely Top Heavy

This for the most part is a very nice stand for the money you would invest in it. However, with just 3 lights on it, when raised up over 6' it becomes "very" top heavy and unstable. If you are going to use it, plan on sandbagging the base or otherwise securing it. If there is any chance at all of someone bumping into it, don't use it with anchoring it.

basic stand, not too bad

I was impressed with the price to performance ratio of this critter. Somewhat on the heavy side as it's steel, not aluminium, but the finish seems good and the build quality acceptable for light to moderate duty use.

I use mine to suspend sound treatment in my studio, and it works very well for this. I'm probably hanging around 20 lbs from it.

One thing to be sure of, each stand is supposed to come with 4 screws to hold down par cans, I ordered two stands, and one screw set was missing due to a torn shipping box.

Lightweight for road work.

It is small and compact but the tubing is not all 1.5" and one can't use clamps for the lights since the t-bar at the top is square instead of round. Not a bad unit but perhaps a bit lightweight for road work.

Not good for anything other than par 36 or 38 where you need a small footprint; not sturdy at all; worth maybe money.
