I bought three black 10ft cables as stocking stuffers. Although the ends look identical one side will fit into an amp or guitar and the other will not. It's like the jack is a few millimeters different or something.

I've bought these cables in the past but did not have this problem. However the ones I bought previously lasted about a year.

well, it worked. but the ends are cheap, they dent in the side of the ground and become useless. but if you are careful with the ends you should be fine.

I keep at least 3 of these in different cases. After years of paying $25-$50 for guitar and bass cables that crap out in a month. I found these. They last about the same length of time but cost less. The bright colors help to keep them from getting left behind when you have to pack up in a hurry. (who doesn't pack up as fast as possible lol)

You know, there's really no "magic" involved in an instrument cable. There are four soldered connections, two phone plugs, and a piece of wire. Higher-priced cables do not have better "tone." The braided shielding on these makes them a little tougher than average. I can't help but think most of the bad reviews here are the result of misuse/abuse. Been playing 30 years, that's my opinion.

I can't tell you how many times this thing has conked out on me. I got it a few months ago, and for some reason it's actually coming un-braided in one place, not a big deal, but I have no idea why. And it will frequently just stop working in the middle of a song...not a good thing. Cables are relatively inexpensive: make sure you get one that's reliable. Not this one.
