i went through probably 15 stands, and the least very little time, but this one is so far the best one that i ever had..

easy to assembly, sturdy, and it does its work and more, i used it least week has a support for two Bose speakers in a gig, everybody that played with me was surprised..

The stand works and is functional. Unfortunately the head of the stand will be permanently affixed to the base, so it's less portable than the Manhasset folding stand. Also, there are no directions for assembly, it's not too hard, but it was confusing at first since I couldn't find half of the necessary hardware to put it together. The bolt, wing nut, and washer go thru the center whole, the bolt and plastic tightener go on the outer track. My biggest complaint is that the bolt, wing nut, and washer were just thrown into the box individually, so I feel lucky that they didn't fall out and get lost or scratch up my new stands. It's an econo-value product, but if you're looking for a higher quality item try the Manhasset folding stand.

My boys and I are in our churches musical group we have two of these stands and have used for at least two years. These stands travel back and forth from home to church twice a week. The are easy to use, light weight yest sturdy enough to hold a music folder and not just sheet music. Most other portable stands cannot hold a folder they will tip. I have seen other flimsy portable stands and some that say they are sturdy but made out of plastic connections. Not this one! We are ready to get another one of these for another group member. I recommend it for price and quality.

I have two of these stands, one for the road and one for the church. I have found them to be a great stand. I use the one on the road three to four times a week. It has been on four long road trips and is still hold together. I tear it apart to carry it in a on stage mic stand bag with my one speaker stand and my mic stand. Good piece of equipment. I would buy another one.

I didnt want the big clunky stand. Just something plain and simple. You CAN break it down but have to remove one bolt and nut to take the platform off the pole. I just fold the legs and throw it on top of the rest of the equipment. I'm careful with equipment so it should be fine for a long time. The size of the holder will hold a 3 ring binder fine. I like it.
