I bought a couple of these cables, and they didn't last long. I used one, and gave the other to my bass player. Not long after I got them, mine broke, and his actually tore off from the plug when he tripped over it. I've gone through a lot of cables and I can't say I've ever seen that happen. They are a lighter gauge than most cables. If you need a good bedroom amp cable, this is fine, but for a lot of wear and tear, there's plenty of braided cables on this website that are still quite affordable.

Over the years I have acquired literally a suitcase full of these cables from Musicians Friend for my home studio, my PA rig and for my guitars, purchased whenever they ran a special. In all that time - years of weekly use - I have NEVER had to fix or dispose of one of these cables. Hard to believe but absolutely true. The price is fantastic & the quality is unquestionable. Since they are again being offered at a great price I am tempted to buy more, but since they just don't quit I have too many of them! My suitcase runneth over. I recently bought some Monster Cables from MF to compare, and when they arrive will give them the critical ear. Huh...what...what did you say???
