I use mine in the studio as a vocal cable and it works as good as cable I've ever used and I'm very hard to please,I don't wind mine up so no problem there.would and probably will buy more of these even though they look funky and old school.

Good but not great

These cables do the job as far as signal and sound transfer. No problems there. However, I give them low marks for the tweed covering. This covering makes them very stiff and hard to wind up, and they seem to kink, twist and knot up constantly. I am not the best cable wrapper around, but regular black rubber cables never give me any problems. These are almost impossible to wind up good and tight with no twists or kinks. If they do have a twist and you store it that way for longer than, oh 3 hours, it will always twist there, no matter what you do. The covering can also give you "rug burn" on your hands if you move them too fast. Finally, if they start to fray (and they will eventually), there is nothing you can do to stop the fraying (except buy a new cable). They seem like quality, well made cables, but the difficulty in wrapping them up/getting them to lay flat while in use has me buying other cables.

iI bought 2 of these when i first started building my P.A.. I have used them 2-4 times a week and have NEVER so much as make a whisper of noise. i have used them as patch cables from mixer to power amp, on drum mics and vocal mics ranging from shure sm58 to cheap nady's. what goes in is what you get out! don't hesitate--look at the price!

I'm pretty objective on gear reviews and I just couldn't give this anything less than 5's across the board.I use a mogami, shure, pro co,and the live wire brand for both studio and live performance. I've had these a little over a year and they perform as well as the $40.00 mogami's. As hard as it may be to believe, they are every bit as quiet in the studio as the stage. The braided jacket makes it a bit more difficult to wind sometimes but they're completely reliable and just an incredible deal.

I've been at the rock and roll thing for more than 22 years so please heed my advice...

These cables are a complete waste of money. I left a couple of cables behind at a recent gig. I needed to replace them before the next show. Hoping to save money, I tried these cables. What a mistake!!! The cable failed between soundcheck and the start of the show. They are cheap and will fall apart then short out. My vocals were too low, due to the failure of the cable and it was a miracle that I was still able to pull off the show. I won't buy anything but "Switchcraft" brand from now on. That is the cable that I see my sound-guy buddies using. Don't buy crap!!
