National Picks Silver Finger Picks are made in America from the best nickel silver available. These finger picks provide a smooth, comfortable, and fully adjustable fit, as well as a brilliant, vintage-American sound.

In 1930, the United States government issued a patent for this National Picks fingerpick, which became the fingerpick all others would copy. Proudly etched on the pick's face are the National logo, the original patent number, the U.S.A. make, and NP2 model number for easy identification.

These nickel silver fingerpicks are perfect for that bright, finger picking sound on an acoustic guitar or for plucky bite on a banjo.

Order today and hear a sound you'll love.

I got into fingerpicks when I bought my National Radiotone, 12 years ago. I just love the way they "dig into" the string. Before that it was all fingernails, as I played nylon string, exclusively, when I wasn't on the electric. At the time, I bought set of a generic National fingerpicks, which served me really well. But I've just checked out these classics and have to say that they are absolutely fantastic. On both the reso and my Martin OM-21. The articulation is so much more precise. I love them. Don't worry about breaking strings with 'em. Just get the touch and you'll be set. Great, great set of fingerpicks, people!

I'm an acoustic player, and I like to fingerpick. I'm still waiting for my nails to grow out to get the tone I want, but I figured that fingerpicks would get me closer to sound I wanted in the meantime. I was right. I prefer it to the sound of my fingertips in most cases, and they provide a clearer and quicker attack. Not many other companies make fingerpicks, and this one is better than others I've tried.

By the way, the only way you'll break or really bend strings with this is if you have on it backwards. It is easier on strings that an ordinary pick.

If you are breaking strings with this pick you are wearing it backwards HAHAHA, funny, turn it over! curved part of pick should contact the string not the leading edge of the pick

Don't know why others have lower opinion

I have been using these fingerpicks on all my Martin guitars (vintage & new), on 12 strings, and banjos - (along with a relatively small plastic thumbpick)for more than 42 years. Maybe I've just had more time to learn how to use them best, but my tone and accuracy are just fine. I neither "catch bass strings" or break strings. I have tried other picks, but didn't like nearly as well(eg: Dunlop... very poor). I do love the sound of plain fingernails, but you cannot play the rat-a-tat sound of the old roadhouse stuff at speed without fingerpicks. If not these National fingerpicks, what other brand? I sure haven't found it.

These picks are great. I play both the Guitar and Banjo. I use these picks mainly for the banjo and have no problems with them bending or breaking strings. I use them on the guitar if im playing bottleneck guitar. I have no idea how those other people keep breaking the strings, I never had that happen to me.
