For the price, the Odyssey LT-P2 Tripod Lighting Stand is a remarkably sturdy and well built lighting stand. It is easily assembled and includes nuts, bolt and wingnuts that easily attach to the cross-arm and readily allows easy mounting of standard PAR 38 cans without having to purchase extra ring clamps or accessories. ideal for small to medium sized bands that gig on a regular basis.

What more is there to say than it is a stand that holds lights... and it does it's job perfectly. 12' height is much more than enough to raise your lights above the crowd. And this stand is STURDY!!! Just holding the tripod without the crossbar is a testament to that. The tripod weighs about 15-20 lbs. by itself. and the legs expand very wide for much stability. Essentially this stand is rock solid and very useful. I have 2 Chauvet Vue II's and 2 LG-20's on it and it make's my life a whole lot easier.

I'll admit I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this so cheap. But it is VERY solid and reaches as high as you would ever need a light stand to go. This will be much sturdier than you expect. I've used different brands of light stands truss's, but for the money, this by far excedes my expectations. Highly recommended. Quick and easy set up and tear down. Great buy.

I recently purchased a pair of these stands to put together a basic light show for one of my bands. I needed the stands to be very solid because I am hanging 2 intelligent scanners on each stand and they will be hung almost directly over me in a couple of smaller clubs we play in. These are very good stands. They are solid, they have 2 extendable sections so they can reach very high, and the hanging bar is braced which makes it sturdier and safer. The stands are very stable when you spread the legs out at least halfway. With both scanners up, and everything tightened up, the stand is very solid and does not move around at all. This is VERY important when doing a show with intelligent lighting because any movement of your stands will alter the angles of the lighting scenes and make them unsymetrical which looks unprofessional. The only downside to my purchase was that one box had been opened, possibly returned, and the (4) mounting bolts that should have been included were not there. I didn't return it though since the other stand came with all four bolts and I am only putting two scanners on each stand. I would reccomend this stand because it is the sturdiest, safest, and most versitile stand you can get for the money. If you need more room to hang lighting than this stand provides, spend the extra money and go with a good truss system.

I purchased this stand for my DJ lighting effects and it workds well and stays up sturdy. I recommend this stand for anyone thats on a budget. Much better then i excpected.
