Overpriced: buy the RTA Producer's Station

I'm a big fan of Omnirax desks. I was just about to purcahse this desk when I discovered the RTA Producer's Station. It was much cheaper and accommodates a lot more gear. I just set up my new desk and did a few modifications to it, and it is now the ultimate desk. I'm now able to spend the money I saved on a new synth.

This is a great add-on "laptop" desk for small to mid-size studio setup - but I don't recommend it as a "main desk". If one will use new flat-panel monitors (especially from Apple) - the monitor level is too high for comfortable viewing. Many high-profile controllers and MIDI kbds block the access to the tilted front racks - which in itself are a great idea for hands-on control of your rack gear. The bottom part is tiny and barely will fits an Apple G5 computer or the like - it suits better for lap-tops. I wish OmniRax would have thought about putting some rack rails in the bottom as well for some smaller amps, etc. - maybe ideas for version 2.0 ??? THe quality is great and now I use it as a "producer's" desk behind the console and occasionally use it for extra keyboards, etc.
