I got this stand for some home recording and it works great. It has a nice heavy weight to it so its not going to move around. I have a Line 6 Spider III 30 and this puts my mics right in the mid of my amp (I have it on the floor.) so it works for your small floor amps as well. Great for home recording and space saving.

I bought this in addition of a AKG mic to replace the 3rd pc mic, and 2nd headset mic I broke or that had died. This is solid, doesn't get in the way, and doesn't move. Great for holding a decent mic for Voip calls, and teamspeak.

I am a college professor that records lectures and training material in a home-studio so I needed an easy to use stand for my desktop recording system. This was perfect. It has a heavy base to keep it sturdy and is well made. For the money it is a great deal.
