I ordered the "Musician's Gear Tripod Mic Stand with Fixed Boom (2-Pack)" and got these instead.

WOW Great deal, although I was looking foward to trying out some Musician's Gear items. I have had On Stage Mic Stands, light stands, guitar stands before and they are great for the price...

They should last if they don't get mistreated or stolen at shows! Thanks MF for another sweet deal!

Well, like with cymbal stands I don't see a need to pay 60+ dollars on a mic stand. If your really rough on your gear, or doing a lot of heavy gigging that might be one thing, but for studio work and light gigging these work fine. I use them for my drum over heads, mic'ing guitar amps, vocals, snare drums, basically everything.

I own 4 of these and none of them have given me any real problems. They are quirky, I can tell they aren't amazing quality, but they work.

The metal in these stands is such poor quality that the threads stripped out the first time I tried to screw the boom onto the base. I know how to avoid cross-threading, but this thing shredded the threads without even binding up. Very disappointed in these stands!

then after a few months, the hardware started to wear out. The screws became warped only after a few uses. Save your money. Go higher quality. These are trash.

I got these for my overhead condenser's when I was micing my kit. I've also used them as my bands main vocal mic stands, and never had a problem with them, even when they travel hundreds of miles in my hardware case with all of my drum kit's hardware. They're rugged and durable and definitely worth the buy.
