I got this stand in the mail about a week ago, and am fairly pleased with it. I play in a praise and worship band for my college group and needed a stand for my laptop and midi controller. I found this one for pretty cheap and jumped on it.
The stand is very sturdy. my only complaint is that it's a bit of a hassle to transport from place to place. I have to set up and tear down quite a bit so I tried to shove the collapsed stand into old guitar cases. Didnt work. I carry a lot of stuff in and out of buildings.
If you need a studio stand or just don't move your equipment that often, go for it. and it's really not that big of a hassle. I'm just generally rushed.
I'm probably going to end up making just a giant rolling case for all my stuff and use something better than just a piece of scrap plywood to bridge between the ends. haha.
Maybe plexiglass...OH! and LED lights! that'd be fun!

I can't believe how many people have griped about assembling this thing. It's just an opinion, but if you're not smart enough to put this thing together, you're probably not smart enough to play a keyboard.
That said...I do agree with the quality issues. The joints are "bolt-together", and not nearly as sturdy as my other OnStage stands KB stand, which despite being a "lower" model and only having one X (not two) has WELDED joints that are much sturdier.
And the only time my upper KB blocks full view of my lower KB is if I'm standing. If I'm sitting in a chair or on a keyboard seat (sort of half-standing), I can see the lower KB fine.
But it works fine and is a good value.

This stand is absolutely average. The instructions take a second, but that doesn't take away from the quality! Once it is together, it were fine. The second tier seems a little low, and its hard to see my lower Yamaha sometimes, but I can just lower my head a little. It's the not the sturdiest on the market, but your keyboards will never fall, just possibly wobble a little.

This stand has got great potential in it for the price I spent on it. I don't understand why some had trouble assembling it, I spent probably about 10 minutes putting the thing together and another 10 tweaking and tightening bolts. Thats all it takes to get the most out of this. I have a Yamaha on tier 2 and a Roland on the base, together weighing no more than 10 lbs, with todays lighter key tech this stand is as sturdy as could be. Just make sure to tighten up everything until you have to work a little to move it and you're set. The only draw back is the second tier must be the same width as the base, but for someone who needs a stand for 2 61 key items this is great.

DJ Laptop Stand

Working in the 21st century as a DJ with Serrato Scratch (insert Final Scratch here if you aint wit it), I need a stand for my laptop that will hold it above my dj mixer and turntables. I looked for a long time for a stand that didn't cost a lot (the most ideal laptopdj stand, too much). This stand does it, it sturdy, and keeps me going wit what I'm doing. get it if you have a turntable/mp3 scratching system.
