Absolute Junk

Wobbly, unstable, poorly engineered and constructed. If you move them, the base will loosen, and anything over 5 pounds will come crashing to the floor. If you try to tighten the Allen head bolt which holds the base to the main tube, either the socket will round off, the square tubing will collapse, or both. The ONLY way to secure the base to the main tube is to tack weld it. I can't trust these stands to hold my KRK 8's. C'mon, folks...this is supposed to be "professional" equipment. Any nimrod with a hammer, nails and a couple of 2 X 4's could build a simple, stable stand to hold a studio monitor. Apparently, On Stage isn't up to the challenge. Not only is their fastening system primitive and inadequate, the disc with the threaded insert that is welded inside the support tube is SO not level, they apparently don't have any sort of jig or measuring device (uh, as in "ruler") to locate the disc before they tack it in place. Don't waste your money on these doorstops.

I got this pair of stands for my Fostex PM1 MKIIs. Easy to setup. Although the bottom of the speakers is a little bigger than the plate, they support my speakers well. T am using them on carpet, without carpet spikes.

The reason I gave 4 on quality is that one of the stands is not perpendicular perfectly. It is due to the build quality, I fixed it by myself though. but for the price. It is acceptable.

I bought these from a customer here who got them free with his monitors - he already had some nice stands, so he didn't need them. I'll tell you what, if you have these and aren't impressed, or they wobble, you probably didn't put them together properly. These things are the most solid, stable thing in my home studio, which has carpet and an uneven floor! I didn't even use the carpet spikes, and I doubt I'll need to. Absolutely solid. Love them!

These On-Stage Stands SMS-6000 Monitor Stands are great. When I bought my NS50M monitors, they came as a free gift; so my 5.0 for value is a little biased! They are very easy to assemble, with just a screw and pin for the telescoping platform the speakers sit on. I will say that the triangular base is a little unorthodox, but in now way affects the stability of my speaks. As long as you don't have kids running around your studio (nobody should!), they will be plenty stable. I would recommend some isolation pads under your monitors because the pads on top are somewhat thin. Overall, they were a worthwhile addition to my humble home studio!

Looks professional. pretty grounded. Holds my KRK V8IIs' very well even though they are pretty big hanging off the sides of the plate a bit. As long as you adjust the height to match the monitors with your ear level sitting down... there shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand... it wobbles(loaded) back and forth a bit if you set the height too high(kinda scary). A 9" plate just feels a little too small. Should've slapped on a footer... or a 10incher at least, to show more compassion towards monitors. Overall... I'm pretty satisfied. If not, content with this product.
