Nice stand, wide base!!!

This is a good stand, the black plastic parts do break easily and can not be replaced. i.e. the tension control at the bottom of the base. Also of concern this is the widest stand base I've seen on any hihat. The footprint is very large, not good for anyone tight on space, or with lots of other stands.

This is a great hi hat stand. It's perfect for intermediates, and I've been playing for almost a year, so I'm working my way out of the beginner stage. This hi hat stand is just perfect for me. If I had 20 trillion dollars I would go for something way better, but I don't, and I didn't. The pedal has a perfect amount of smoothness and resistance. The clutch is easy to use and it's strong. I want to get a Gibraltar Avenger II double pedal, so I also want to get a Gibraltar drop clutch for this stand. The legs are sturdy and stay where they are. I love this stand. It's an awesome value and I recommend it.

This hi-hat stand is total sweetness. It stands sturdy, the pedal is responsive and smooth. This stand has good control, stregth, quality, and looks. I gave it a 4.5 in "features" and "quality" because it's not one of those high-end, billion dollar, sturdy as a rock, beautiful as Aphrodite hi-hat stands. It's just a good, solid, awesome stand. The clutch is easy, and strong. This stand is a really good value also. I highly recommend it.

This is a great stand. It's smooth, strong, sturdy, it stays still, and it holds your hats well. Just in case you didn't know, the funny looking twisty plastic thing just above the pedal is to adjust how strong the force against the pedal is. Just twist it and it will seem like it becomes a much better quality stand. The clutch is easy to use and is really strong. Overall it's just a great stand, and I love it. I recommend this stand to anybody.

This is a great stand, for a great price. I got in in early January and I have had absolutely zero problems with it. It stands still when you're playing, you can easily control the hats, and last but not least, it looks sweet! It has a nice rubberish-plastic thing that prevents the bottom hat from touching the metal, like a cymbal sleeve. The clutch is nothing special, but it is strong, easy to use, and stays in place. Overall, this is a really good stand, and I recommend it to everyone who is thinking about getting the PDP 700 stand. Don't get the 700 when you can get the much better 800 for several more Washingtons.
