I purchased this product about 9 months ago. I have been really happy with it except for the plastic wing nut it didn't take very long to strip the threads on it. This would much better if it had a metal wing nut.

It´s a good product, very stable, good quality, fancy looking, but the fact is that it´s improvements when compared to Pearl´s basic CH-80 do not make a huge difference (apart from the Uni-Lock). Not that it was too hard to mount and dismount cymbals without that quick-release wingnut... It´s pretty good, but Pearl´s got other hardware that will do almost the same for less.

When I bought a Pearl DR80 rack system in 2005,I decided to add on some cymbal holders in order to eliminate some stands that were getting increasingly difficult to haul around.This model has really been a Godsend-low priced,easy to use,and,above all,they all fit into my gig bag.I highly recommend this product to anyone who is tired of lugging cymbal stands in the back of their car.Good stuff from Pearl.

I have a rack setup that incorporates nothing but these arms. They are durable and strong, but also a little expensive. I am very anal about my kit and have to have the best for it, but Gibraltar makes better hardware (Like my rack) If you don’t need a perfect looking set, then buy something else.
