I bought these when I also bought 2 more rack leg clamps. I thought they would be kinda small, but these are rather beefy and solid. Silly of me to doubt Pearl in such a way. So far they've held up nicely. I'm going to have to replace every boom arm on my rack with Pearl arms. They're made like they should be. And can hold some weight with no slippage.

This stand is perfect for whatever you need to do with it. I used mine to mount a cymbal off my tom arm (had to get a little creative with it) but it works and its a good strong stand.

I have had it for about a year now. The only, only bad thing is that mine slips a little. I used to have a cowbell on it and it worked fine.

I received two of these last year. When I installed them on my Pearl DR80 rack, I was stoked at how professional they looked-as well as how they eliminated the need for bulky cymbal stands. They are not the absolute top of Pearl's line, but they will still work great and they seem to be pretty well made. Easily adjustable and transportable, as well. Buy them if you,like myself, are tired of dragging around heavy cymbal stands gig after gig. They work.

I have 5 of these for an ICON rack. I have had them for roughly 8 years and they've never slipped or failed in any way.

Each one came with two felts the washer and the sleeve. The sleeve itself lasted about 3 years before wearing out, which is excellent considering they have been used for gigging on a weekely basis.

The geared tilters are very nice as the teeth are large enough to hold under heavy playing conditions, yet they are not too big and give you a nice range of adjustment.

The booms themselves are not knurled which bothered me at first, but in combination with the included boom memory lock they do not slip.

The main shafts also include a memory lock and are long enough to give you all the heighth you will need. Pearl didn't skimp on these booms at all in my opinion.

The tilters are easily adjustable with wingnuts and the memory locks adjust with drum keys.

This is a good basic boom. I think they are a little overpriced, but I am more than happy with them. For the price paid I got my money's worth and there is still plenty of life left in them.

I would recommend these to anyone looking for a cymbal boom.
