After buying my pearl export kit I`ve tried to improve it because of the limited options of poplar wood (and raise the prize tag a bit). And I thought of changing the feet for air suspended feet and went to a local store to ask about air suspended feet.

The owner went to a floor tom hit it and it sounded dead, the kit was a higher end Gretsch kit. He then lifted the floor tom above the floor and suddenly the shell was alive with this really BIG sound, really thud and thoom.

I bought the feet and they were the cheapest but one of the greatest little upgrades for the price, changing feet was easy and now my 14 and 16 floor tom has a much more vibrant tone.

This should be done by anyone that has a kit without air suspended feet, and they is so cheap that there is NO excuse for not owning them!
