Used this on a converted accoustic to electric set. They work great for bottom heads and for toms, not so well for snare or bass. The plus is they are super quite. The down side is that they are thin, and a hard hits or heavey sticks can leave holes. I also feel like I always have to tighten them. But all the mesh heads are like that. Overall they are cheap and work good for toms, but would not buy them for a snare.

I built my own electronic drum set. I went for these like most people because they are way cheaper then any others on the market and I haven't tried to make my own yet. These as great for the price but seeing as I am not a heavy hitter and by the second jam session they started to dent and needed to be tightened. S they may last a few session but don't count on them for long term use...

This is an honest review... I don't know what this manufacturer review stuff is about... I have these heads on every drum in my set (Pearl Export Custom) and have played HARD on them for hours and hours and they show no wear! I am absolutely amazed at the feel of these heads. these heads still give your drums a tone so you can still hear the same sound, it's just very quiet, I live in an apartment and can play at 3 in the morning if i want because these heads are so quiet!

I am simply amazed at the positive reviews here. They are obviously fake, supplied by manufacturer. I play with 7ANylon sticks, without excessive force. They lasted 20 minutes before first hole. Ridiculous. I found that by putting 2 together on same pad (yes, top head wrinkles and loose) and they last. This means: one layer is a joke, two layers rectifies problem (like roland). Please do yourself a favor- look elsewhere. For a bottom-head, sure. But do not play these heads unless you like changing them out hourly.

I dont know about playing on these heads but what I do know is that they are great as bottom tom heads if you are a drummer that likes the sound of an open tom but hate the look of your hardware missing on the bottom these are great. I use Aquarian preformance 2 heads on top and these on the bottom and my drums sound like tuned cannons. One added advantage our sound man told me about is that he is only has to use half the volume he used to use on the pa system, I knew I was louder but didnt know I was that much louder. Any way take it for what its worth they work great for me.
