Not a Pearl guy, but can't complain

The P120P (as well as its double pedal counter part) is really pretty good for the price. Yes, it's not gonna be as good as an Iron Cobra, or a DW 5000/9000, or even some other Pearls, that's a given though. Like all pedals (even those $1,000 ones) it's gonna squeak from time to time. If adjusted correctly and used with proper foot techniques it's one of the better mid level pedals on the market. I learned, and continue, to play triplets with one foot on this thing.

The duo beater is one of the better beaters out there. It's a good weight, not too much felt, and the plastic isn't soft and rubbery. I've never been a big fan of Pearl drums, but I have no complaints with this pedal.

I saw somebody complain about no bounce back, but if you crank the tension all the way (just use your hands, tools'll make it overkill) it will bounce very well. My bass drum batter head is tuned low and thuddy. It being loose makes the pedal do more work, and like I said, it has no problem with it.

Alright, so I use this pedal frequently at my friends house and I must say It is a great pedal. However It has such a short footboard. Now I don't know if that is a factor because not everyone wants to do Heel-Toe. I mean Heel-Toe would be impossible on this Pedal I have tried it did not work. Now what I do like is the Pedal feels great if you put some power behind your hits it can even hit a little to hard. Another good thing is that you can play pretty fast on these. Overall buy this pedal IF you don't need extra foot room and you want a solid pedal. Don't buy this pedal IF you like to play heel toe.

As soon as i bought this i though it was awesome. Then i started playing with iron cobras and DW pedals, this pedal is 10xWORSE than those. It has no reaction or spring back at all. The only good thing its usefull for is the "ankle rolls" you can to do to get the two quick beats.

Buy something else.

If you're a beginner and is looking for a good quality kick pedal this is for you. And if you are a advanced drummer this is still a great pedal I would not pass up the chance to get it.
