There are several neoprene straps out there. Levi, Fender, Comfort Strapp, Legacy Straps, etc. Some wider than others but really, in this case, I don't think wider is better. It's the neoprene that does the job in carrying the burden on the shoulder irregardless of the width so it seems to be a waste of money to spend more on the others. this strap does what it's supposed to just like my rifle sling from years ago also made of neoprene. I have a LP copy that weighs lighter than the real thing but still heavy and bothered my shoulder on a 4.5" wide leather strap but not on this one. Just wish the leather ends are thicker but at the current price, can't beat it if comfort is the name of the game!

I thought the Perri's 2" Nylon Bungee Neoprene Guitar Strap was great when I first got it. I put it on my Les Paul copy and I thought it did a great job of absorbing the weight of the guitar, very comfortable. However, in less than a month it started to rip where the neoprene is stitched to the vinyl end pieces. Once the rip started, it was all over in a day or two. The problem is that the neoprene is not sturdy enough to be used to hold an 8 lb guitar. Its a good idea but needs to be made of higher quality materials to be a good product.
