Fantastic for what it is

The Peterson T490 is a fantastic strobe tuner, and it's an indispensable part of my shop. The only downside is that I prefer to turn off the "auto-note select" feature, but sometimes the buttons are a bit insensitive. The first few times I used this, I almost began tuning my E string to a B note strobe because I didn't press the E button hard enough. With all that in mind, this tuner is a bit more than what an average musician needs. If an average musician wants strobe accuracy in their bedroom, a digital strobe tuner can be had for less than half the price. However, if you need the "true" response of a non-digital strobe tuner, you really can't go wrong with this, provided that you can afford it. It's a solid unit, and stunningly accurate.
