I thought a real leather strap at the low price they charge for these was almost too good to be true and it turns out it was. When mine arrived I was immediately disappointed that it didn't look as good as in the pictures. The Planet Waves tag indicates that it is "leather," so I suppose it is. But it looks and feels very much like cheap plastic leather. Compared to other leather straps I've owned or used, it's thin and cheap looking. Most leather straps cost at least twice as much, and next time I order I will not be such a cheapskate. I'm sure this strap is functional and, for all I know, may last a long time. But the quality is lacking.
