After I bought a mountain dulcimer with piezo bridge pickup and an L.R. Baggs preamp in early 2004, I decided to buy some stomp boxes for the effects loop. Planet Waves cables were my choice, despite their higher price. I currently own Planet Waves instrument cables, patch cables, insert cable, XLR cable, and 1/4" to RCA cable. These cables are excellent, and I would buy no other brand! The only problem I have experienced with them is where once of the cables plugs into my instrument. If the cable is jarred or moved, there's a loud hum and the signal from my instrument is blocked. Sometimes this even occurs if my body comes into contact with whichever cable I have plugged into my instrument. A simple unplugging and re-inserting the cable fixes the problem and restores crystal-clear sound. I've never had any problems with this excellent XLR cable, though; and highly recommend it to everyone!
