Ok so I'm not a guitar expert, but I know when something feels good, and this doesn't. It's a great idea, and it works exactly like it should. It's a great idea too: it locks without strap locks. And it doesn't ever come off, the strap is durable and you feel the clips holding on. BUT. It feels wrong. When you put it on your guitar, the clips have no give. And they are HUGE so they stick out perpendicular to the pegs, and this makes the strap pull in a funny way and it feels awkward and it makes it very noticeable on your shoulder. I've been using it with my Epi Lezzy Studio, and even though pauls are already heavy guitars this strap makes it feel even heavier. Don't get it. Spend the extra money and get locks if your worried about your straps falling off.

I have been waiting to see Planet Waves come out with a new design for the lock system. I have the old design from 5 years ago. The casing for the old design was not mechanically fastened and after 2+ years of heavy usage the two halves seperated during a gig. Luckily I caught my guitar. I was so impressed with the design that I superglued the case back together and it has lasted for another 3 years and still going strong. I will purchase the new design because I think these guys understand the idea of improving a great product and listening to feedback.

This has seen many gig's and after about 2 years of solid use it finally came to its end- The strap is strong, the locking mech. is strong, but that plastic "hinge" that connects them shattered on me. It went through alot of gigs... it went through ALOT of wear and tear and lasted alot longer then I thought so if you go easy on these you will Never have a problem.

(Make them with a neotech material and these would be Primed)

Better than I expected

I bought this strap because I was sick of my strap locks having to be moved from bass to bass. This strap not only fits all my strap buttons, but it is comfortable and durable (especially for a heavy bass). The strap buttons would have to be huge for this not to fit. This is a softer strap than what I had before, not like that hard nylon that cuts your neck, and it makes it easier to play longer. The locks are well built and seem to be able to hold up well. I am overall impressed with this strap and am thinking of picking up a few more. Good product at a good price!

I think this product is a good idea, and might work well for some people, but it will not fit my guitar, and, I suspect, a lot of other ones. I have an ltd f-2e, and because of the shape of the body, I can just barely force the strap onto the button, where it rubs the finish off. The "horn" of the guitar is at a funny angle, so the locking end of the strap sticks way out in front like some kind of gothic unicorn. I can see where this would work great on a guitar with different angles, like a les paul. Tthe straps are a little hard to manipulate, but then, you don't have to do it often, and I'd rather have them secure. Having them difficult to remove is kind of the point.
