Aint too bad at all

When I first got this, I was annoyed cause I thought it was too short (I wear my bass pretty high-just above the belt buckle). I adjusted the sliders over the padded part on the front and just below it on the back and it sits perfect. The padded part doesn't really sit exactly over your shoulder unless you adjust the slider over it though. It's not all that hard to pull the slider over the padded part so this does in fact work for people who like their basses high. Anyways the design is great and has a lot goin on for just a strap-the 2 adjustable sliders make it ridiculously long or short if you pull em over the pad. The ends are really stiff and sturdy leather so I'm not concerned a whole lot even though I don't have straplocks. The pad and wide design reduces the strain on my shoulder with my 10 pound bass and for the price it's quite excellent. They could have made it easier to pull the sliders over the pad so thats the only complaint i have with it, so keep that in mind if you get it.

Well, It's super comfortable, but the dang pad is on my back!! I can't get it anywheres near my shoulder. Also, I'm not a big fan of plain black, so I got a checkered strap and put over this one because this one still feels good. It's also good to wear without a shirt because of the soft material used on this inside. Overall, I still use it, but not EXACTLY what it advertises for.

Worst strap I have ever owned

I was given this Planet Waves strap when I purchased my most recent bass. The first problem is that the padded part sits on my back and is no where near my shoulder. The second problem is that though I have adjusted the strap to as short as it will possibly go, the bass still isn't anywhere near high enough for my tastes. The first time I used the strap my shoulder could not take any more after an hour rehearsal. I used two more times after that and had the same results and have never used it again after that. I started stealing the strap from my other bass and don't have any more height or pain issues. I eventually gave the strap away.

Great for a Guitar or Bass

I love this strap and there really is really not much to say about it. Despite it being meant for bass, I have found it great for both guitar and bass regardless of whether or not it is for weightier instruments.
The Planet Waves Polypropelyne Strap is extremely, comfortable keeps my shoulder from becoming, and one thing that I find very satisifing is that it is tough and does not pop of the strap pegs like various other brands I've used...so in other words, I know my guitar/bass is safely fastened.
This is a really good strap, again for both bass and guitar. My only request would be to have more option in color, though black is fine with me as most of my instruments are.

This is a great strap for a heavy bass. You will not regret buying this strap! Adjustable from both ends, it is almost limitless to the adjustability of it.
