This is a very sturdy and reliable music stand that I've been using for about 5yrs now. I use at home as well as on the road and never experienced any problem with it. A band mate bought one about a week ago because I recommended it to him and these stands are still built the same so I'm surprised to read about broken parts problems in other reviews. I can tell that those are exceptions. The stand is a bit heavy but that's because it is made to last and withstand the abuse while on the road. I'm going to buy two more in the near future.

This product looked sharp and functional out of the box, but after the gig when I flipped the upper lock lever open the shaft slammed down and splintered the upper collar. The table now spins uselessly.

Check the reviews - all of us can't be wrong. Stay away from this product.

I wish I had read the reviews here..the collar snapped the first time I used it, making the stand unusable. Piece of badly designed/made junk.

The push down levers were the first to break, and this should have been a sign to get a backup. Then the "cheap quality"plastic parts broke on the main legs rendering it useless just before my gig. I should have read the other reviews before buying.
