It's a good mic stand. ignore that other review which says you can't adjust it because it does go up and down. good price and will last a while. i have had the top broken off before on one however the mic clip was being taken on and off alot so leave the clip on and you will be fine.

Bought one of these, and after perhaps 10 gigs, the top broke off, then on the next gig, the bottom broke as well. And these are mellow acoustic gigs! I have an Atlas stand that is more than 25 years old with years of hard rock club abuse, and it still rules. Spend the extra money.

Proline is one of the best brands to have for a microphone stand. I use to have two and they worked for 2 years, I didnt think anything like that would last that long! Its a wonderful brand and their things really work!! You should stick with Proline, their really fine!

I only recommend this stand for the young folks other then that I can't use it's way too short you can't adjust to make it taller.

As a vertical standalone mic stand, it gets the job done. When you add a boom, you have to be more careful or you can tip it because of the small base footprint. I have another stand with tripod base that I like much better for the boom. Still, all in all, it's well made and works well. No complaints, just nitpicking!
