I use the 747B's and they are my first choice in my arsenal. Anyways I broke my first pair today and I got my order in like less than a week. To tell the truth Im a little disapionted in Pro Mark, a 5A lasted me for about 3 weeks even though my stick broke THAT fast I still recomend them for metal generes. The features gives you some advantages: tip: the ping on the ride is great(more to the metal sound)and in the snare is awesome strong strike Taper: if u slam the taper with the tip on the ride you will get the energy for metal needed (like Nico McBrain from iron maiden plays his bell ride) leigth: 16 3/4 is good for the player who wants a little more reach...and not only that it gives you more power over your cymbals and drums mostly the snare and ride. Overal is a great stick but I dont know why it broke too fast...but is STILL my favorite stick and would recomend if your not that heavy hitter GET THEM!!!!!!

Well I have to say that these drum sticks are awesome, I've been playing drums for 6 years now, and Pro-Mark its just different than everything else, the sticks are so light and with this 6 pair pack you have so many styles and sizes to choose from...

Pro-Mark definetly makes the best sticks that I have used. I've tried Vic-Firth, Vater, Zildjian and even the infamous Ahead sticks, but nothing compares to these ones. Very durable and perfect length / weight. I primarily use the 5Bs and occasioanly a 747 or 2B.

I've been playing with the 747's for years. I love that size for the speed and balance while tearing up a monster fill. I've tried other sticks, and other sizes, but always come back to my 747's. Of course they are going to chip, and yes sometimes break. Remember...this is wood against metal...metal always wins. At $7-$8 a pair, get over it. Buy some more. As a matter of fact...throw a few into the crowd.

I've found that it's easier to pop the tips off and super glue them back on than spend hours hunting for the tips. I wonder if they use glue at all? Once the tips are glued on these are pretty good sticks, with a decent feel to 'em.
