For a metal drummer like myself, I love to hit hard and still keep it sounding good. So I just recently got these and I'm very impressed. They sound great on my set except the snare its a little to weird sounding. But all together they're great if you take care of them. I recommend it for just about anyone.

These are great sticks, but obviously they have their own purpose. I just got mine yesterday, had a 2 hour band practice with our church band, and noticed that definite care needs to be taken when playing with them because of the small, fragile wooden dowels. If you hit your hi hat's edge, cymbal edge, or rims of drums with the sticks, the dowels will break pretty easily. It's important, if you want these to last, to be careful how you hit with them. Always hit the flat spot of the cymbals, and only the drum heads with them. They are great for small rooms, or acoustic shows. These are a type of brush in a way, so you will comprimise the "attack" sound a bit, but again, that's what they are for! I'd recommend for nothing more than hushing your sound a bit. They do have a nice bounce that I enjoy. Makes tom rolls and fills sound very nice.

these are really good sticks and i do play loud [like most drummers] and my team leader is always saying tone it done so i go and get brushes and then she tells me i cant hear you so i heard of these sticks and there amazing just the right tone but the one way they could improve is they dont sound that good on my snare they just sound wierd but if you hit it harder than it will be good enough

Stops the complaining.

As a young drummer who listens to Led Zep, I receive alot of complaints about the sound of my drumming. Considering I use 7A wood tips, their is really not room to get smaller sticks and I try to play quieter but the "Quiet down"s keep pouring in. So I bought a pair of these beasts to shut them up. The feel is excellent. When I was jamming with a bass player and I was allowed to turn it up, my sticks didnt feel as good. These things are ultra comfortable and the clicky sound is great on toms. Best of all, no more complaints!

I bought a pair of these and I have tried other brands of these sticks but none of them held up. When I bought the hot rods they gave a great sound and good durability.
