I have been using promark my entire life, usually use to use american hickory, then these first came in brand new, and I ordered a few pair, and I was very impressed with the quality, as much as I hit sticks on the edge of the cymbals, etc. these sticks stay strong, and don't shed near as much as american hickorys do, I would strongly recomend these sticks to any drummer out there.

I've tried everything from Aheads to silverfox sticks and these by far the best, longest lasting, best feeling, responsive, articulate sticks i've ever used. They last forever and I can barely feel any shock. If you look hard enough, you can find some that aren't that heavy. I love these things. 5A nylon tips

Japanese Oak!!!

These sticks serve a great purpose, and that is to play efficiently. The length is just right for people who have large hands or butter fingers. The Japanese Oak really gives it a lot of weight, so for those who prefer heavier sticks, these are it. Plus, the oak gives it a nice texture so it feels nice when holding them. They smack your drums with authority but have very good control. I only use them for practice to build my strength and stamina.

I love them. Between a 7A and 5A but longer. I have to reach for a couple of my cymbals so these work well for me. They seem to be a bit more durable than hickory but it's the feel and length that are awesome. When I roll it out on a ride cymbal i get a very clean and articulate sound using the nylon tipped 727. The larger diameter sticks seem to cause a bit more backwash so the 727 is a great all around stick for me. I play Vic Firth 5A Extremes when i can't get my hands on some 727's and the 727's length exceeds that by a little.
