This pad it the best i've played on so far. One thing that I didn't like about the Vic Firth double-sided pad is that there isn't that much of a difference in sound between the two sides. But on this one, however, one side sounds like the soft side of the Reel Feel pad, and the hard side gives REALLY great articulation and helps your ears get used to the sound of a marching snare. And the hard side is also quite loud, but that is why they also give you a soft side, so that you can play in a somewhat quiet area without annoying everyone around you. The soft side gives a really great rebound, and the hard side still gives some rebound, but enough to where you have to work a little harder to get an even double-stroke roll. But, because of that, when you go and play on a marching snare, it seems VERY easy to play rolls.

Though one small downside to this pad is that the rubber on one side seems to be peeling off, not completely, but some. It might fall of if you dont do something to it (like superglue) and if you've had it for a few years. But that's an easy fix. Overall, GREAT PAD!

This product has helped me to improve my drumming skills tremendously. I love that I can be able to practice anywhere that I please. It's light and small enough to carry around in my backpack for school.

This pad I purchased last christmas. It is a pretty handy pad, But if you buy the small one (as did I) do not expect it to stay in one spot when playing on it. Because of its size the pad moves around and does little flips if you hit only a little bit hard. The frame does infact chip quite a bit. It is not as durable as RealFeel pads i have used. This pad is "OK", but if you want something durable that you can play on any surface with dont waste your money. Unfortunately mine was stolen and I am purchasing a RealFeel pad. P.S.- The rubber on this pad will start to peel away from the base within a month or two so id suggest using superglue on it if this occurs.

The Airlines just pulled a disappearing act with my luggage and lost my Billy Hyde natural rebound pad I've been using for 20+ years. I purchased this pad out of desperation, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. The Black side feels like a Corps drum with a cranked Kevlar head, marvelous articulation. The Blue side is freaking Heaven, quiet and feels as good as a "Big Bottom Babe". Don't buy any other pad. Excellent quality also, you'll have it for years.

I was previously using a Real Feel pad, but personally this pad feels much more real than that one. i would recommend for any drummer. if you own a pair of sticks get one of these.
