this pad was awesome it is very bouncy, don't bounce everywhere when playing it, and has a realistic snare sound. i would recemend this pad to anyone.

I bought this pad for practice outside of marching band. the only bad thing about it is the sliding factor. otherwise, it's great! You can loosen or tighten the bolts on the back to either make the snare sound louder or quieter. The bounceback is real compared to a marching snare, and sometimes I feel like it gives more bounce than a marching snare. The sound, though...it's very very helpful to be able to hear if your rudiments are played correctly or if you sound clean. The price isn't outrageous, although it is a little more than most pads are. Overall, though, I'd purchase this pad whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional.

One of my friends bought one of these and it's awesome! It has a chain on the bottom that makes the snare sound and is really quiet. This thing plays almost like a real drum and has great bounce and I can do clean double-stroke rolls on it easily. It is a little pricey but definitely worth the money so people won't complain about hearing you. It's also small enough to travel with. Great pad!
